OV EJ Minutes Sept 12, 2012

1)      Meeting time: Doodle poll shows Mondays at 5 or 6 being the best times. Decision, move meeting to 5:30 on Mondays starting Monday September 24. Action, Eric to send out email notice and change website.

2)      Training:

Cheque arrived from Freedonia.

Craig – would it make sense to do an intro to non-violent direct action in Vancouver before the Oct 22 'Defend our Coast' action in Victoria? Eric – it may make sense to plan for an advanced training after Oct 22, promoted on Oct 21 & 22. Training decisions need more discussion with more participation.

3)      Defend the Coast Oct 22 in Victoria

Oct 21 training in Victoria would be a great place to promote a more advanced training.

Co-sponsoring a group going to Victoria from Vancouver should be considered.

4)      CBC National update. Arne confirmed that the CBC National feature will be shown Sept 17
